Extra World
On the title screen press Triangle, Left, Right, Left, Triangle. If the code has worked you will hear a sound and a small face will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen.
All Characters
At the start screen, press Right, Right, Triangle, Left, Left. If the code is entered correctly, you will hear an applause.
Get Another World:
At the main menu press Circle, Left, Right, Circle. Code entry will be confirmed by a game character in the bottom right of the screen.
